Principal's Message

Mr. GWelcome to the Greenburgh Academy, and let me take a moment to introduce myself to everyone – some folks know me as “Mr. G”, Greenburgh Academy’s Assistant Principal. However, with Ms. Howell’s retirement, I have now taken up the position of Building Principal here at the Academy. I, along with my new Assistant Principal – Ms. Shellian Heredia – look forward to meeting and conversing with all of our Greenburgh Families, and encourage folks to stop by and meet with us.

I am deeply appreciative for having been given the opportunity to remain here at Greenburgh Academy, and to continue my service to our students, families, staff and community. I am humbled by the work, effort and dedication that my colleagues exhibit each and every day while working with the students that have been placed in our care.

I wish to reassure you that we will continue our deep and trusted commitment of providing to your child the very best instructional experience possible – one that will afford your student an environment that is safe, challenging, engaging, supportive and beholden to the idea that “every day, in every way, your child will aspire, excel and succeed!”

We will be sending out testing information shortly, Regents testing will commence on August 16th and end on August 18th. Student Reports Cards will be sent home after the closure of our summer school program, on August 18th, 2017. It should be noted that our students have been working very hard this summer, both in preparing for their exams and recovering lost credits.

I would like to close by wishing all of our families and colleagues a happy, healthy and safe summer. I would also encourage our parents and guardians to spend some time relaxing, recreating and reading to their children – time well spent with huge dividends being paid back to our kids!

As always – in service to you!
