My name is Jada Baez.  I graduated (Salutatorian) from Greenburgh Academy in 2015.  Being in Greenburgh was such a roller coaster ride.  I hated it when I first started.  But I decided to redirect my frustration into graduating and becoming successful.  I started by letting myself warm up to people and actually letting people help me.  Mr. Capers was literally my rock throughout this whole journey; I’d come in to school after working until 4am and I’d sleep in his office for half the day.  I quickly began to look at the Greenburgh staff as a family and not an enemy.  After Greenburgh, I went to college for a year and a half and got dismissed.  What seemed to be a curse ended up being a blessing in disguise.  I put myself through one of the best culinary schools in the country, worked alongside celebrity chefs at the age of 20, and launched Princess of Pastries, my first baking and catering business at 21 years old.  My ultimate goal is to become a world renowned pastry chef/businesswoman and give back to the community that I come from.  And I want to start here.
